A great exhibition dedicated to Paolo Veronese in his hometown Verona. One of the greatest Italian Renaissance painters, Veronese soon moved to Venice, where his fame grew rapidly thanks to his influential patrons, who loved his elegant and sumptuous style. The exhibition guides the visitors through his life and career and concentrates on the relationship between art and architecture in his artistic production. By recreating architectural settings in his paintings and drawings Veronese achieves a theatrical illusion and an unconventional dialogue between painted and real space that are worth investigating. Until the 5th of October only!
