Lake Como has two branches, with a promontory in the middle, on which sits the cute little town of Bellagio, one of the most photographed places in Italy. The cobbled streets are full of little shops and cafés, where you can while away the time watching the boats come and go at the ferry point.
Como is the main town on the south of the lake and although sizeable, it still has an interesting historical centre. On the western shore the road takes you from Como through the little village of Moltrasio, towards Tremezzo, where you can visit the beautiful Villa Carlotta.
Further up you come to the elegant town of Menaggio surrounded by mountains and with a lovely lakeside promenade. All the main resorts are linked by regular ferries.
Why not experience two different resorts on Lake Como? Mix & Match the pretty, lakeside town of Bellagio and the Hotel Belvedere with the Grand Hotel Imperial.
