City Breaks

Italy’s cities of culture are always a pleasure at any time of the year. Rain or shine there is always a wealth of museums and art galleries to enjoy, shopping to do and restaurants to savour. Why not visit two cities and travel between them by high speed rail?

Apart from the classic cities of Venice, Florence and Rome, why not try something a little different and head for one of the lesser-visited southern cities of Naples and Palermo. Naples has the spectacular Mount Vesuvius as its backdrop and this noisy, frenetic, fun city offers so much to the visitor. Palermo is gloriously unconventional, in a charming Italian sort of way, and is a melting pot of cultures and architecture.

The beautiful pink city of Verona is particularly popular during the summer months when the Roman Arena amphitheatre plays host to a wonderful programme of classic opera. Click here to see the 2017 programme.

The northern cities of Milan and Turin are also full of fascinating things to see and can be twinned with a visit to the lakes or to the coastal region of Liguria.

Our City Break stays are available all year round and can either be enjoyed on their own, or as part of a multi-centre holiday. Call our Travel Consultants on 01483 79 11 00, for a tailor-made quote.
